Pregnancy Insurance

Hi,

Has anyone heard of insurance firms offering insurance for twin births? and if so, do these still exist and where?

Seems a potential rumour and nothing more..but would be interested to find out.

Thanks for any help

From what I have read on the net via google...you are insured that if you have twins you can claim..but you need to take out insurance before the 12 week scan obviously..????

Found this thread, talks of Zurich offering a 'multiple births' insurance up to Jan 2013 through Marcus Hearn...

    Any ideas if current providers?
  • I think judging by the replies on the other post that you would be better off down William Hill for a wager :rotfl:

Yes, you are probably right, but there is no harm in finding out these things...

I always used to place these with Eagle Star who Zurich bought out.

Most people don't bother taking it out as the people who enquire about it do so because they have a suspicion they will have twins / twins in the family. The premiums for people with a history of twins tend to be far more expensive and they don't bother to take it out...
  • A lady in Scotland just had her third set of twins. Wonder what her premium would be? :rotfl:
