Even Cheaper Airport Parking

If you have a Nationwide select credit card, then bigger discounts on airport parking if booked through nationwide building society web site

Booked Heathrow Airport parking with Holiday Extras with 10% discount and then found it cheaper on Nationwide Building Society web site the next day. Big sign on Holiday extras web site saying 'If you can find a price cheaper within 7 days, we will refund the difference' NO THEY WON'T They just say 'the price is the same, it's the discount that is bigger'

I was recently delayed on a return flight, and had to stay an extra night. when it came to getting my car out the car park I expected to be hit with a big bill for the extra day.

I was pleasantly surprised that their policy was to charge about £3 per day for each day which exceeded the original booking.

This was considerably cheaper daily rate than my original booking, so I asked what prevented me from booking for one day and then paying the excess charge of £3/day for any additional days on my return - the answer was nothing stops me from doing this at all.

So, check the car park late pickup daily rate fees and if they are cheaper than the normal daily rate, then book for a single day and pay the rest in excess fees.

I should mention that this was at Cardiff airport.
