Solicitors

Options
We put an offer in for a house over 4 weeks ago now. The Mortgage was approved and the house survey done. The Solicitors were instructed 4 weeks ago and they have said that they are waiting on searches and paper work form sellers solicitor.

I have not heard from my solicitor for over a week now am I best chasing them up?. Or am I been impatient as it is normal to take this long?

Just getting frustrated with not hearing anything and worrying something may be wrong.

I'd chase it, seems like a long time with no updates or contact.

Chase them & keep chasing them every few days as the process gets nearer to exchange & completion.

I chase my solicitor once a week, every week, on Thursday... leaving Friday free for them to do what they should have done in the rest of the week. I get them to state where they expect to be by the next Thursday, so they know to expect to hear from me. But, I have a friendly solicitor, who doesn't mind me contacting him (or doesn't admit it), and whom I have used several times.
