how do i transfer my cd's onto my ipod please?

can anyone tell me in 'easy terms' please.. and in basic steps..

in simple terms - very easy
1. install Itunes
2. insert your audio cd (if connected to the internet it will auto download the track names)
3. Itunes will burn your cd to its library.
4. Plug your ipod in and it will sync songs to from itunes to ipod
