Leasing a small diesel

20k miles?
I run a 7 yr old Santa fe auto, running costs on this are surprisingly low, ~ £200pa servicing/repairs, tyres about £3-400 but last 50,000miles, tax is relatively high at about £240, and does about 35mpg.
For your low mileage fuel consumption is not a big factor, for £2-3k you should get a very good focus type car which should be reliable, with minimal costs.
I have considered swapping my SF for something like the Ibiza with lower running costs, but however I look at it, the overall costs are at best about what I pay for my large 4wd auto tank! Fuel consumption is not the only factor to consider!I am a mortgage adviser. You should note that this site doesn't check my status as a Mortgage Adviser, so you need to take my word for it. plus 67 mpg
They also pay the £30.00 a year road tax
Actually it's real MPG is 55.8......
Not being entirely sure what exactly "FR" means, the mpg could be anywhere between 50.3mpg and 55.8
And seeing as the site states that my car should do 36mpg when I actually get 33mpg, it could be even less.

That's only a trim option....... Engine/drivetrain identical.“I may not agree with you, but I will defend to the death your right to make an a** of yourself.”

Cheers for that Sonic!
Maybe I need to think more about this. mileage over 10k is charged at 6p per mile.
Need to do a proper analysis of costs, would be great if anyone has documented their motoring expenses for a year, would be really interesting to compare. I would be prepared to pay a premium for 'peace of mind'.0 -

Not a trim level. The ST is an estate car.0 -

That's surprisingly reasonable actually.Need to do a proper analysis of costs, would be great if anyone has documented their motoring expenses for a year, would be really interesting to compare.
I've got all my expenses documented for more than a decade on a couple of different cars, but the costs wouldn't be the same for you so there's not much real point trying to share them. One big-ish expense I've had on my current car was a parking sensor fault for instance - having a car without parking sensors would prevent that cost.
No car would be gauranteed to give you that of course (new cars can break down too, although you shold get a curtosy car while it is being fixed). Have you looked at what your Range Rover might be worth by checking out others for sale on Autotrader? Might be £2k? Putting that towards the cost of a replacement would mean you could buy something in better condition that you could keep for longer.I would be prepared to pay a premium for 'peace of mind'.0 -
Its a low mileage newer shape model, and a diesel in Vogue spec, parkers reckon its worth £8,300. I would want to put this back into my deposit fund ideally.0
