Hi All. Is the procedure for claiming back penalty charges on a CC account the same as for banks? I've done a few searches on here but couldn't turn anything up. Are there letter templates available?

Basically, yes. You can use the bank charge letter templates with a little bit of customisation. Just expect the CCC involved to try and use the OFT ruliing as justification for the charges since mid-2006.
The OFT’s figure of £12 is still "extravagantly" higher than the cost of automatically administering a late payment. All that happens is that the credit card company’s computer adds the charge to your account. You don't even get a standard letter.
