    Morning all,

Bit fed up with my weight at the moment. WW doesn't seem to be working and I can't afford it anyway. I may try the fasting diet again. TTFTM is that what you are doing? I've forgotten it seems to be working great whatever your doing:D
Out for tea at my sons this evening so no cooking to do today.
I've already washed the bedding and pegged it out, another load in the wash its a bit overcast. Now but bright and breezy.
Judi it will probably do him good, how old is he again? I would worry as well though!
Its our 28th wedding anniversary tomorrow. Hopefully we can have a day out together, maybe a nice lunch, there is a lovely place in town that's two for one on a Monday so may wait until then. dh has some book vouchers for water stones and I am in desperate need of a couple of bras. It will be cheap and cheerful but I don't mind as long as we are together.;)
Will go and have a quick look at jobs before I go for a shower
Have a good Tuesday all x

Morning all, just a quick hello from me during teabreak.

New bed all assembled and guest room now looking fit for a guest! ;)

Still some boxes to be sorted to go back in the room, but getting very close to successful decluttering of two bedrooms. I think 6 or 7 bags of clothes have gone, mainly due to OH losing 3 stone (associated with her gallbladder trouble) and having to replace her "wardrobe".

    Have a good day everyone.

    He's 17 and a half. :o

Its like he's been chucked in a the deep end. Mind you I felt the same when my daughter travelled alone to Australia... however she was in her mid 20s. She was fine. It was just me who was scared for her.

I hope it will do him good. I hope he's not like me. Scared stiff of stepping out of my comfort zone.:(

    Hi everyone.

I had a terrible nights sleep last night, just couldn't settle. After DH went to work I then fell deeply asleep and had a weird dream that we moved house, back to the house we lived in when we first got married. Next thing I knew it was 9.30 !

So I'm really running late today. I've been out to run a few errands, I've washed some curtains to take advantage of the weather and I'm now going to do some gardening.

I'm meeting my friend after she finishes work for coffee, so I'll have a toasted sandwich. I'm defrosting a portion of chicken curry for DH. I like to freeze a few single portions for this type of eventuality.

There's a programme on TV that I'll be watching tonight, Secrets of the Workhouse. I have an interest in this subject as my great grand parents met at Mile End workhouse, in the East End. Not as inmates, but they worked there. Great grandfather was a Relieving Officer (admitting people to the workhouse or paying out Poor Relief money) and great grandmother was the teacher there.

Have a good day all, best wishes to those who aren't feeling so good.

Just got back from the podiatry clinic and they are not happy, so I have to go back on Monday. They told me to go to see my GP for a prescription of inadine strips, well that would be a waste of his time, so I phoned the surgery and they got him to phone me back and he said that he will leave the prescription at the desk for me to pick up . So I am going to poodle down on my scooter after lunch.

NAR.......Middle of August ok with you ;) :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

    Afternnon all,

the session I was running this morning went well - thank fully! Made it last the perfect amount of time, plenty of engagement etc.

And then the chief exec called me in to congratulate me on my presentation to the board last night 'didn't want to do it in front of everyone as some didn't so that's why I've called you in but...you really did well last night' so that's cheered me up.

Still not feeling right in myself but I've decided to delay the doctors another day...bad I know - I really don't look after myself enough!

I haven't left work at all today and have only just realised I have felt hungry so haven't eaten since about 11am but that was half a cold bacon sammich and 3 mini pastries so I should be ok, and I had a cereal bar at 7.30. Plenty of orange juice too so I'm not surprised I'm full although I know it's not really enough.

When I get home from work (leaving in 15mins - 30mins early although I should leave an hour early!) I'm going to have chicken, veg and mash I think - yum! and I will do the dishes and maybe vac through depending on how my legs are feeling :/

Hope you're all have lovely afternoons!

What a day.... I don't want to go through that again in a hurry. I shouldn't have worried about 'Youngest' really he got to his girlfriends house about an hour ago.

I followed his progress on the network rail site and what with frequent updates, I survived. Silly, now that's happened, i'll never worry about him travelling alone again. Its always the first time my kids do anything I get worked up. Just like it wouldn't concern me overly if my daughter had to travel alone half way across the world.

I'm slightly panicking over my youngest daughter who is due to give birth in less than a month..... I'll be fine when she gets pregnant with child number 2.

So, its just me, him and the two dogs for tea tonight. I'll be totally out of my depth when I don't have the dogs to fuss over.

Holby City tonight. I had to fight for the remote last Tuesday. I feel like another power struggle coming on for tonight too.

    Have a good evening all,

Fasting just didn't seem to work for me but DH did quite well on it. Have gone back onto low carb which I know does work. Am sticking to approximately 20 to 30 grams of carbohydrate per day and the weight is falling off.

Have done this once before and lost about 5 stone then stopped and put 3 stone of it back on again in 18 months or so :o

It's based on a book by India Knight and Neris Thomas called The Idiot Proof Diet or Pig to Twig, they have a great supportive forum too. Idiot proof is very apt for me but am definitely still more pig than twig at the moment :rotfl:
