Hi, thanks for looking, well the story is:
I'm starting Uni in Sept this year doing a Nursing Degree. I have just recently applied for all the finance which i wanted. As i am staying at home i haven't gone with the loan but gone with the 'income- assessed' maintenance grant. when the student finance company came into my sixth form they checked over my forms and said they would send them off for me. However they didn't once look at any of my parents wages to see how much they earnt., but i got a letter to tell me how much i am getting anyway. So the question is... How can i have an income assessed grant when my parents wages haven't even been looked at.

They will check the P60's etc out later (around Feb time) if indeed at all. This is so there is no delay in you receiving payments. Any discrepancies are sorted out then.0
