Just thought I would share with you... Exactly 1 month after we first saw the property we got the keys. Admittedly we didn't need a mortgage and the house was empty but nether the less we got it for a song and everything was done properly with no corner cutting.
I may have paid a little more for a solicitor rather than a online conveyancer but the idea of being able to go into their offices and sign something rather than a four day mail turnaround is what really speeded things up and also being straight from the get go with both the solicitors that I wanted the transaction done ASAP really helped.
Anyway just wanted to share that with you all...
