When i press the central heating or hot water button the light on the boiler flashes red .When using central heating there has been a popping noise when central heating switches off (before it went off all together)
Does any one know if this will be an expensive fault to get sorted?
manual says
Overheat stat operated; Maximum temperature exceeded;
Check thermistor connections; Air in system with thermistor at maximum
setting; Faulty overheat stat connection; Check that pump is wired into
appliance and not from programmer. This would cause no pump overrun

Thanks Rockingit had someone round to look at it ,and the pump needs repairing/replacing.
