I'm thinking or trying to reclaim PPI on my HSBC credit card, which I've had for about 12 years. I'm 99.9% certain that I never requested the card - I think it was sent to me when my account was upgraded from a savings account to a current account - has this ever happened to anyone else?

The bank do not sell the card, they grant it to you in order for you to obtain credit. It is entirely optional whether you use the card.
