In a confusion whether to still do an independent survey, as my lender is also going to do one.
I've chosen a surveyor after reading about his survey and reviews online, but now thinking of an option of asking my lender's surveyor to do Building survey rather than just valuation report by paying more. Here for guidance of which is better? Two different survey's ?!
It is a ~40 year old property. Help much appreciated.

The vendor will charge you a fortune for the same survey an independent can do. In my case the vendor's quote was more than double.0

Get the lenders basic valuation , the one you pay for but for their benefit , then source your own surveyor using reviews and recommendationsNever, under any circumstances, take a sleeping pill and a laxative on the same night.0
