Defaults - natwest bank

In 2012 Natwest Bank incorrectly put a default on my record and it took me months to get them to remove this. It was only because of some paper work that I had, the bank agreed to remove the default.
This year Natwest have kept on adding the default back on my record for no reason what so ever and they even sent me a cheque for £25.00 for the inconvenience?! (which I never accepted) checked today and the default is back on the file again...SO ANGRY as this is having a massive impact on me keeping the credit I do have and also obtaining credit...
(
Has anyone else had the same problem and any suggestions what to do?
Thanks!

Go directly to the ICO and report the ongoing abuse.0

Complain to Natwest again, stating that you will take the matter to both the FOS and ICO if they do not permanently remove it. Caryy through with that if required.Free/impartial debt advice: National Debtline | StepChange Debt Charity | Find your local CAB

I believe the going rate for this sort of abuse is £1k in the county court.0
