Goldfish

I have an old GoldFish credit card account which had PPI charged. The account was cleared and closed before Barclay Card bought goldfish.

I put a claim into Barclay card to reclaim the PPI but they now tell me that as the account was closed before they bought goldfish then the account and liability was not transferred to them.

Would anyone know if this is correct and if so any contact details for the company who originally owned Goldfish.

I understand HFC previously owned Goldfish prior to its' sale to Barclaycard.

HFC are listed in the A-Z of Bank Addresses at the top of the forum. If you don't have any details, an SAR will get you all the data they hold on you, which may be nothing.

Lloyds had it before Barclaycard but HFC had it first. Depends on when you issued the card. I had a Goldfish credit card in 1998 and I contacted HFC Bank and they found my details. I am in the process of waiting for a SAR from them. It would have nothing to do with Barclaycard, I already tried this with them.
