Thank you Lucky, I am just glad that Dr Witch is home and relaxingMust use my stash up!0 -
Hmm well 2014 is going out with a whimper! Been on antibiotics since Tuesday morning (and there is a bottle of wine with my name on it sat there!), I have my plans for next year worked out (see above) the main thing though is to try and get healthier – so as soon as the antibiotics have done their thing and I can actually move my arms again (VERY swollen glands) I will get back with the physio, I will spend more time crafting (less time on the computer tempted to spend money!) and I WILL start to shift the fat!
I am back at the Obesity Clinic in April and I would ideally like to be 2 stone lighter by then (3 would be nice but seeing as I put a stone on in the last week due to medication I am not holding out hope for that!)Must use my stash up!0 -
Isn't it horrible being ill! Sorry you've got to have meds that disagree with you too, thats adding insult to injury.
How will you start to lose the weight? If you're anything like me, your brain completely stops functioning when you're really ill, but mine is chugging along in second gear now, at least. I certainly want to tone up, and get a little bit of aerobic fitness and stamina ... can't see how at the mo, but thats what I want.

Hmm calorie counting again - it worked well last year (did lose 2.5 stone but a stone went back on ), yeppers brain fug sets in here with pain to start with and then illness makes it worse!
Frankly I am not sure about the obesity clinic! they gave me a recipe book and there was ONE dish in there I could eat!Must use my stash up!0 -

Not a bad start to the year so far (apart from the weight - lets not go there )
1. Save at least £215 in my ISA (50p per day) - £10.50/£215
2. Save at least £215 in general savings (50p per day) - £10.50/£215
3. Pay off at least £1k (£85 per month) - £50/£1000
4. Read 215 books (4 per week) – 11/215
5. Read first 10 Kathy Reichs books – 0/10
6. Finish 2 colours on tapestry (at least!) - 0/2
7. Stitch the Winnie the Pooh year – 0/13
8. Knit 12 squares – 0/12
9. Knit at least another 10 rows on the sweater – done!
10. Learn Welsh
11. Lose 12 pounds in weight - 0/12
12. Wear make-up 52 times – 3/52
13. Do 4 recipes from cookbooks not used before – 0/4
14. Do 13 new recipes – 1/13
15. Make some mead
Tonight will be a new recipe AND from a cookbook not used before so :j:j:j to that! I need to crack on with the crafting and get some more payments made (on target with the savings - not so much with the CC clearance - but my payment for that goes out next week and NOTHING has been spent on it - so that is good!)
Welsh lessons are going SLOWLY! I can't seem to get through week 1 :eek:Must use my stash up!0 -
The new recipe and recipe book happened (Hairy Biker's Asian Adventure :rotfl:) and the CC payment has gone out - next challenge I think will be the mead :beer:Must use my stash up!0

I need to pronounce things in my head for that sort of learning to work, and that feels impossible with Welsh2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
