A friend has asked me this question. When he loaded his operating system he asked entered a password to allow the boot up.He now wants to delete this so when he starts his computer it will boot up without the need of a password. How may he do this?

i think you mean bios password..not windows log on password...you firend will need to open up his base unit...and look for a CMOS battery...it looks like a normal coin battery...this battery supplies power to the CMOS memory which holds the password and other stuff...take the battery out for 10-20 secs..and slot it back in...he wont get prompted for a password next time he boots up0
