silly question alert! Can I find out if my mum ever claimed on ppi from first direct

Hi
sorry for silly question.
i am in process of helping my mum who has gotten very forgetful in her old age to help her claim back ppi from first direct but 8 years or so ago she had a injury and couldn't work but she cant remember if she ever claimed on ppi.
Is there a way of asking the bank if she has claimed without them thinking we are mad not to know.

Thanks

Just ask them, why should you care whether they think you are "mad"?
  • I complained for a series of FD loans

They were v professional and turned things round in a few weeks

All they did for me was deduct the claim value for a previous illness claim from the redress provided for my complaint.

Give them a bell - a few other banks ppi teams cd learn a lesson from the way FD handled my complaint

    Hope that helps

Oh really that's good to know. She was really worried about claiming to be told that she claimed on policy she didn't want to look like a liar even though she is 100% sure she never asked if ppi. What would happen if she was paid out more then ppi cost
    Thanks

Then if it was upheld, she would receive nothing.
