Unexpected Fedex Invoices

LayniBee
I bought some camera equipment from Camerakings.co.uk. Their website states that there are no shipping charges or import fees but now I have received two invoices from Fedex totalling nearly 40 quid! I don't understand it. Am I really going to have to pay this? Surely Fedex's business agreement is with the seller, not with me.
Anyway, one of the items doesn't work and will have to go back, if Camerakings ever get round to sending me return details.
Does anyone know anything about this fedex thing?
Thanks.
Layni.

Have you asked them? It says that all custom related charges are already paid by shipping agents. Any unexpected import charges will be refunded.0

Yes, I just asked Fedex. They say I need to resolve it with the vendor. Vendor says they'll refund it along with the dodgy item.
Thanks for the fast response, tinkerbell.

You do know they're based in Israel don't you?

Also be careful that they don't charge you a 12% restocking fee for the returned item.0 -
Why not just buy from a UK retailer and help a few Brits keep their jobs?0

So clearly they are used to charges being sent to customers.
My guess is its easier for FedEx to bill the customer, who WILL pay up to get the goods compared to billing a company who will simply delay paying.Location
