Hi
I had 2 store cards many years ago the 1st one was a Wallis store card and a Debenhams store cards (not at the same time). I do not have any paperwork regarding these cards but I do remember paying the PPI as I remember them saying I must have it on order to get the cards. What can I do and where do I start its so confusing.
Thanks

You complain to the seller in the first instance - i.e. the store.
It is pre-regulation, though so don't get your hopes up.0 -
Both of these cards were via companies now owned by Santander. The store will refer you to GE, who are ultimately Santander.
It's worth searching the forum for other peoples experiences. It's not a straightforward process with these cards, but the insurance company (in most cases Genworth) has accepted responsibility for redress.
You still complain to Santander in the first instance however. Santander will most likely refuse your complaint, and you then refer it to FOS. FOS will after a few weeks write to you to suggest you refer to the insurer as it was pre-regulation.
It's a bit of a jump through hoops, but Genworth insist that you exhausted the 'official' complaints process before they'll consider it - even though it has nothing to do with FOS.Competition wins:
2010 - approx £450. 2011 - approx £800. 2012 - approx £300. 2013 - nothing so far!0
