The day after the assessment date I received a letter asking me to fill in a form as to why I had not truned up for the assessment. Again I wrote and explained, this was 3 weeks ago and still have heard nothing.

They are free to reassess you any time.
Are you still being paid ESA, and at what rate?

I did not have to go to an assessment, just filled the ESA50 form in and was put in the ESa support group.

There is a reason the government as changed IB to ESA which must favour the government and not the Sick. Can anyone guide me to that real reason for change these benefits.

most people transfered to esa or new to esa will be put in the wrag which if only cont based will be withdrawn if you have savings over 16k or a partner that works after 12 months
thats where the main savings will be made, others will simply either not follow the transfer process or wont appeal a negative decision..more savings

If a person was on IB prior to 13th April 1995 then you did not pay tax on your payment.
Why pay full price when you may get it YS ;)
