I must have been lucky with the things i have bought i have never had something bad.0

Most of the stuff I've bought has been great, but I did buy this awful top once. It looked okay in the picture and in the listing the seller claimed it was from a shop. But when the top came it was obviously home-made by someone who'd only just learned to use a sewing machine.0

Oh ....I have had a few.....
the black sweater covered in white dog/cat hairs.
A ring that was anything but circular!
The 1980's trousers
The jacket that nearly knocked me out with the smell of stale smoke. I dont think smokers realize just how polluting it is to clothes (or anything inside the house!)
just a few I can reel off....0 -
I haven't had anything really awful yet, but I was mislead on a t-shirt I bought. I asked the seller what material was it made of - 100% cotton I was told, but when it arrived it was 100% nylon! I can't use because of eczema. Ah well nevermind.
With reagrds to you perfume disaster - its such a shame that people think they can sell any old c**p on ebay. I don't sell any rubbish on Ebay - if its not good quality or top notch it doesn't go on.Me transmitte sursum, caledoni0 -
I bought a mp3 player from HK,received it after 9 days, sent it back after 5 days faulty and I am still waiting for a replacement a month later.0

Oh God, stuff from smokers is awful. I don't think it's their fault in a way 'cause they can't smell the smoke. My chain-smoking aunt gave me some books to sell for her, but there was not way I could put them on ebay. They stunk out my house something chronic!0

My hubby wanted a Tux but didn't want to spend too much as he only needs it once a year.Got one off e-bay and saved on p+p by collecting it as it was local. He went into the house and I waited in the car.5 minutes later he came out of the house with a very large grin on his face.I asked what had tickled him and he said it was the Tux.When we got home I looked at it......well.....the jacket and trousers didn't match at all and the trousers looked like something the bay city rollers would have worn!! lol

They were supposed to be 32 waist but were more like 28..lol...(faulty ticket so not sellers fault)He didn't have the heart to tell the woman there was no way he was going to buy them. They were cheap and we just re-sold them anyway as seperates.Needless to say he went and brought a brand spanking new Tux when Westgate had an offer on. :heart2: Love isn't finding someone you can live with. It's finding someone you can't live without :heart2:0 -

I dont think they notice the smell either. I had a relative who used to borrow my books and they used to come back stinking of smoke! I didn't have the heart to say anything because she was a lovely old lady. After receiving a top that stunk of smoke (I had to hang it outside for 2 days!) from Ebay I now make sure I ask sellers of books/clothes etc if it is from a non-smoking household.
The worst thing I ever got off Ebay was a Cavalier teapot. It looked so cheap and nasty when it arrived and had a chip in it. I emailed the seller in a friendly way and then realised the chip had been mentioned in the listing! They were very nice about it though and said if I didn't like it I could return it and get my money back.0 -
I'm lucky enough to have never received anything bad enough to negative / neutral anyone over.
I think that could be because I won't bid without good detailed piccies and a good description, even if it means slightly more money.
Money saving:
Buy a Skoda. Laugh at the VWs who paid several grand more
Its a diesel. 50mpg - laugh at all the petrols
Its a tuned 260bhp diesel - laugh at them in the rearview mirror as they vanish

I have never neg'd or neut sellers either, just didn't leave feedback! My silence was my response. Indeed the mis shaped ring man asked for feedback like wot I gave you he wrote ...... he is still waiting!
I do now ask if from a smoke free home, as I assume it will be if its not mentioned! I do now ask questions, I made many errors in the past, but nothing that cost me much !! (well except for my first buy that was a fraud but thats another story!!).
You learn all the time!
Ma
I have had some GREAT buys too. Like the seller who put in another blouse as it was covered by the same postage and she didnt want to re list !0
