Can sites withold their warranty details unless I join?

Hello, last Friday I bought a small piece of electric equipment (an SD card adapter) for my laptop from eBay. I got an email (on the 22nd June) saying that I should have a look at the warranty details as I only have access to them for 7 days.
I clicked the link today and it seems that I must join the website ItemBase to get access to my warranty. As it seems I have to, I probably will join the website (even though I don't want to). It is more out of interest that I ask if are they allowed to do this?

Any advice would be welcome!

    Yes. A warranty is not a legal requirement, therefore they can impose whatever terms on a warranty as they see fit, providing they do not infringe your statutory rights.
    One important thing to remember is that when you get to the end of this sentence, you'll realise it's just my sig.

    And remember, if you do, make sure to screenshot or print out the warranty details if you only have 7 days to read it
