Problem seller

I sold an item two weeks ago, the day after the auction ended the buyer messaged me to say she no longer wanted the item, she bid on 2 the other was cheaper and told me to relist.

I felt annoyed so told her if she did not pay I would open a unpaid item dispute to which she replied with loads of abuse.

The last day of the dispute she paid then a week after delivery she opened a dispute for item not received. Luckily I sent it signed for so Ebay closed it. Then this morning, she opened a case saying not as described all the received was an empty box. She claims the post man said to her this feels light I think it is empty which is an odd remark for any courier to make and I didn't send it via the post.

I am wondering what the chances are of Ebay closing the case in her favour.

Surely if she has already opened one case and lost it she cannot open another one?

As Enfieldian has said, if the buyer raised a INR for the item, they would not be able to raise a subsequent SNAD for the same one....

I would not be suprised if she was allowed and won. Their policy confuses me!

What a nasty piece of work she is! It could be a really great place to buy and sell if it wasn't for low life like her.

Of course they can raise a SNAD after an INR.

Otherwise scammers would not send anything, wait for INR to be opened by the buyer, and then send an empty box tracked.

Awful buyer! Your POP should have the weight of the package on it, if you have a record of her messages that should help you convince Ebay that she is a fraud.
What is her feedback like?

She might be an awkward mare but you fuelled the fire by insisting on continuing with the sale, what did you think would happen, she is as stubborn as you.

I had a similar situation the other week.

A person won an auction, but then messaged me a few minutes later to say they'd bought elsewhere, and could I 'sell it to someone else'.

I felt pretty cross too, but I did the cancellation rather than the NPB.

That's the thing in a customer service situation - sometimes you have to do things you don't want to do in the interests of the customer, rather than dig your heels in and do what you want to do.

PHONE ebay (not email, not live chat) with the details of the INR case - when she opened it compared to the date it was delivered.

Explain the case and see what they advise.

Yes, a case for SNAD can follow a case for INR. A buyer cannot open two cases the same, ie 2 x INR.

As post 9. Ring Ebay and give them weight details on the parcel and advise the history of the problem.

Was the INR opened after it had actually arrived? I'd use this as evidence of an awkward buyer!
