Playing The Last Of Us here (when time allows which isn't a lot at the mo). Mixing it between SP and MP, the MP is very good and it's one of those games where the feel of SP and MP are similar (the stealth of SP is carried over very effectively).

I never play with a mike, and rarely play with people who do use a mike. It's a game that rewards teamwork in that if you run off on your own you will die. People just seem to know how to play as a team and what works, and if you stick with other people you do better.

Got fed up with COD, it was everyone out for themselves just trying to get a good KDR. Never enjoyed BF3 much (just didn't find it fun).

Played LBP a bit online but I always seemed to get in games with people who had no patience!

Portal 2 has good co-op MP and your character can use gestures to communicate.

It depends on the game for me.

Streetfighter IV is way more fun playing against other people than single player, whether it's online against random people or against a friend.

But for adventure games I prefer single player. It's more fun being able to just explore the game world and play at your own pace.

Can't stand racing games in online multiplayer though either, I tend to finish in last place getting lapped lol

I still always play it out to the end though, hate it when you're winning against someone and they reset the console half way through a game.

Depends on my mood really, I've kinda given up on Counter Strike for now. Getting sick of every time I kill someone they have an excuse and just can't take that they got killed. I could play with voice off but it's not the same.

I generally describe it as this.

When your playing a single player game the enemy are always in teh same place or coming round the same corner etc.

When your playing multiplayer you can be waiting for them to come round that corner and all of a sudden <slaps back of head> POP they get you from behind.

MP can be so much harder and so much more fun.

On the other hand, it can be more stressful because there are others that are plonkas that ruin the game.
  • Usually Multiplayer. Can't beat playing with friends. But if my internet connection is really suck-ish I'd go on Single Player.
