Anyone familiar with Audi PCP?

This. Interest is on the full amount, not just on the bit you're paying back.
I'm still not sure the numbers add up though? Have they possibly missed off the deposit and trade-in for their calculations, such that interest in being charged on the full £24k?
As already suggested, it would be interesting to know what Lingscars or the like charge for a car of the same spec.0 -

A3's depending on model vary from
£750 unrefundable deposit + 35monthly payments of £247 inc vat
to £1500 unrefundable deposit plus 35 monthlys @ £505.
Thats for 3 years @10k miles a year, you have to insure and service the car though.
You'll struggle to beat Lings prices for lease type deal.
Get yer calculator out.
Audi is asking for a unrefundable payment of £6250 including the part-exchange. That amount of deposit is usually required if you are buying a porsche or maserati.

Not true, you are borrowing £17,750 plus arrangement fee.In 4 years, they'll buy the car back at £11,000 guaranteed minimum, so really, the credit amount over the term is £6,750.
Audi PCP is flexible, you can pay whatever deposit you want. More deposit = less finance charges. When I bought my Audi, the local dealer was very helpful and explained how it works and advised me of the generous contribution Audi make to their finance deal. I would suggest you try another dealer.
Fortunately, I was able to pay cash. Have you considered a bank loan, lease purchase or HP?"A nation's greatness is measured by how it treats its weakest members." ~ Mahatma Gandhi

I would've thought a three year lease plan would come out cheaper overall, especially as you could hand it back just before MOT time and get another one in replacement.0

I'm in that very dilemna this coming September. Whether to hand back with an MOT or not?0 -
Thanks for the advice everyone.
I tried Aldi first, but as usual, all the good cars had gone before I got there :rotfl:
After leaving Audi to sweat today, they've now offered a £2,000 deposit (+ my px still) with 35 payments of £295 and a GTV of £13,000.
While its a much better offer, it tells me I was being ripped off before and the dealer is just out for every penny he can get. Unless of course, I'm just really not understanding how these figures are worked out.
To answer some of the other points, what I like about PCP is that it gives me a fixed payment and I'm arranging for all the servicing to be included so there isn't really much in the way of maintenance to worry about. Plus it's a brand new car, built to my specifications. There's no road tax on the model I'm looking at, and the fuel economy is twice the MPG mine does currently. Long story short, its £95 per month more than Im paying now for my 2004 car (which I took a loan for), 0 tax and half the fuel bill.
Appreciate it's not for everyone but it just makes sense for me in my situation.
Provided of course that the price is right and I'm still not convinced.
Thanks again everyone.0
