Lyme Regis help please!

Options
Hi,

I am looking to book into a site in Lyme Regis but don't know the name of it and cannot find it online.

It overlooks what I call the fossil beach and is static caravans and wooden lodges.

Could anyone help please?

TIA

Not sure if this will help.

Good luck with you hunt. If you can give more information (which side of Lyme is it- going towards Seaton or towards Charnmouth) then maybe someone else may be able to help.

Thanks, it was just off the Cobb in lyme which is on the seaton side rather than charmouth.
  • Hi - probably not a 'site' as such but at Monmouth Beach, West of the Cobb, there are a number of wooden chalets (though a few lost as a result of recetn landslip!) and a small number of statics on the edge of the pebble beach.

Take the Lyme Regis Cobb Road turn 'To the Cobb' off the A3052 turning, down a steep hill, and after entering the harbour area turn right and follow road - two large car parks either side, chalets/statics are straight on. (Sat Nav DT7 3LE may help get close)

The area is next to the famous Lyme Regis Boat Building Academy, Power Boat Club and nearby sailing club.

I think most of the Chalets/ statics are privately owned and you may have booked direct with owner?

    Enjoy - great area!

I think there are some on golden cap. I can't help any further I'm afraid because I've spent the last few days looking for sites myself and have got muddled!

I'll ask my Mum as she lives in Seaton and goes into Lyme frequently. From memory though apart from Spartacus' suggestion I can not recall a site overlooking the Monmouth beach. May be worth giving Lyme tourist information a call, found them very helpful in the past.

Glad we don't have the hassle of booking anywhere down there as stay at Mum's, and can't wait to go in August.

This is exactly the place I mean, thank you! Haven't actually stayed there but was hoping too! Having searched google for the past week I had come to the conclusion that is must be private lets as I was only able to find a few expensive chalets :(

Thanks everyone for your help x
