Gorenje Washing Machines.

Need a new washing machine, Current one, a Hotpoint lasted 17 years, but did have a drum replacement, plus 2-3 other repairs over the years.
One brand which has caught my eye is the Gorenje, as they have a 5 years guarantee for parts and labour.
Has anyone bought and used a Gorenje ? What are their pros and cons. ?
Looking forward for information re the brand/make.

We have a gorenje gas on glass hob which has been installed a few years and still looks great. No issues with it at all but I think hobs in general are hard wearing so not a comparison.

With regards to washing machines Miele are fab. We have had ours around 4 years. It came with a 10 year warranty as standard and is great. Programmes are nice and short and it is economical to run.

They are at the higher end of washing machines but I believe they are known to last 20 yrs+. They are not the best looking of machines but I can live with that due to the amount of washing I do:D

I haven't had a washing machine of theirs but 'did' have a dish washer and gas hob and have got ovens and fridge freezer of theirs.

The dishwasher was a nightmare, had in the region of 6 service visits with issue not able to be fixed, despite just about every part being replaced. Rejected it and replaced it with a Bosch and had no problems with it (0ver four years ago)
One of the oven doors needed a service call out, issue was fixed and no further problems.
The hob needed service call out too, issue was fixed but have since replaced with electric hob(NEFF).
No major problems with fridge/freezer (working wise) although would say that the plastic drawers etc are not that strong and crack easily (not covered by guarantee)

Personally I wouldn't buy their products again although so saying, I had a Hotpoint washing machine and wouldn't buy one of those again either, as per other poster I have a Miele which has been problem free.

Thank you both Still no positive comments re the Gorenje washing machines. Have visited another site where an engineer serviced the Gorenje washing machines, and he describes them as "much better than Hotpoint/Indesit rubbish."
I am tempted to try a Gorenje (5yr parts and labour guarantee) but the wife is again leaning towards another Hotpoint.
