My car insurance is due on 26/06 and we are buying new house and the move-in date is 28/06. But actually I will move to this house on 19/07 due to the notice period in the current rented proprty.
While renewing my car insurance what address shoud I give?? One importnt thing to note is the premium quotes I ma getting for my new address is much cheaper than my current place. I will happy to get insurance on the new address but as you will notice there is overlap period for which I probaby might have to give the current address? Please your suggestions will be valuable...

Wherever the car will be when you take the policy out.
Before renewing check the costs of changing the details.
If you put the new address and something happens whilst parked at the old one they could think your trying to defraud them.
Explain that you are moving. See what options they give you.Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0 -
go with a company that gives the best quote at the new address, take the policy out at old address and inform them of the change when you move in. (remember there will be an admin fee most likely too)0

This may work the way you intend if you are talking about a direct insurer. If however you are looking at a broker then you may find that the current address brings up a different insurer on their panel than your cheapest quote from them for your new address but when buying from a broker you are tied to both the broker and the insurer for the term of the policy.0 -
I think you have to consult the company they will give you best advice for it. Because company has alternate solutions for this type of cases. I hope you will get the best solution for that issue.0
