remove gloss from emulsioned wall

I've nearly finished painting my bedroom. I would say I had finished, had I not clumsily got a bit of gloss over some areas of my emulsioned walls
What's the best way of removing gloss from emulsion.
I was going to just mask over the gloss skirting and re-emulsion the bits I've painted onto.
Would that work or do I have more work on my hands. Tried lightly sanding it off but that didn't seem to make a difference.
Any advice much appreciated..

No good now I know but I gloss first them emulsion. It's easier to wipe emulsion off gloss then gloss off emulsion.
