I have lost the paperwork and if I don't send drivers licence details, there is a £1000 fine.

Central Ticket Office I think, unless it was mobile and you have been given a producer in which case go to the police station first

No it was sent through the post - is Central Ticket Office something to do with London? I'm not in London!

Go to your nearest police station and explain the situation. They will probably give you a phone number to the Admin section dealing with speeding tickets. Importantly, try and go to a police station which is in the same authority as from where you got your ticket: nothing bad will happen if you can't, it's just that the desk sargeant will know the local numbers.

Desk Sergeant :D My goodness it's been sometime since you were last in a Police station, no such thing as a desk sgt, all replaced by enquiry office clerks.

Ring the force headquaters for the area you were stopped in or received correspondence from, they will give you the number for the Central Ticket office for their area, if you ring them, they will advise you as to how to proceed, but do not leave it.

All forces have a central ticket office and safety camera unit, it isnt a southern thing.
