hi, i purchased a brand new samsung f8000 55" from currys the first friday in april and cost £2500 and it came with a free 5yr warranty which reading there website should have been sent out within 28 days but as of yet has not arrived.
i registered the tv with samsung and also queryed the warranty as they said it was only 1yr apoun registration, they said the 5yr must be something the retailer is doing themselfs. i then emailed the currys helpline with reciept number ect asking about it to which 1st email they said take it up with samsung, 2nd email asked for details i sent in first email and third email did not even reply to, i then went into the shop after 6-7 weeks (start of june) to which firstly girl behind desk did not know what i was talking about so had to tell her to look 10 feet away at the display at the door to see "free 5 yr warranty " so had to go talk to someone and came back and gave me a complaint number and said someone would be in touch within a few days and it is now 3 weeks since an nothing..
where do i stand regarding this issue please if any one can help..

Contact Curry's customer service by phone or contact the number listed - 0844 561 1234
Update: Did you contact that number to register your guarantee in the first instance?0 -
they took my details in the shop as the sales guy even tried to sell me the 5yr warranty but i said to him it comes with a free 5yr warrany so no i did not want to buy one, i have had the tv licence through the post but not the warranty0

It's pretty clear that you have to ring that number, so I'd give that a try first to make sure.0
