I have had a couple of claim rejections relating to PPI. One saying that the application was made on-line and the other via a postal application and l ticked the PPI box on the applications.
Both say that the information was available at the time to make an informed choice.
Is it worth continuing with an appeal to the WONDERFUL people at the FOS or should I walk away and forget about it. Or are they adopting delaying tactics.
Any words of wisdom are welcome.

Depends.
If the boxes online were preticked you can still forward your complaint to the FOS, but you need to know they were. Unfortunately, no-one has a list of who and when they were pre-ticked.
The postal application, you could possibly argue that it said you were encouraged to take it etc.
It boils down to though, unless there was a major failing eslewhere, you bought it, it wasn't sold to you, therefore it wasn't missold.Non me fac calcitrare tuum culi0 -
Maybe, but the Bank will have checked for this as part of the investigation into the complaint. If the PPI selection box had been pre-populated, the Bank would uphold.Unfortunately, no-one has a list of who and when they were pre-ticked.

There is nothing wrong with having PPI. When you are making a complaint, you are doing so on the basis that it was mis-sold to you. Your provider has replied saying they have not mis-sold it to you because you chose to select it.
