Normal to feel microchip?
Comments
-
We can feel our eldest cats one but not the younger one. eldest is a semi long hair domestic moggy and the youngest is a British blue and is a real chunky heavy cat so possibly a reason we cant feel his!
If it scans, doesnt move and doesnt bother him then you have nothing to worry about :TAnt. :cool:0 -

Not a big fan of them, and I personally would trust a store clerk over a qualified vet nurse or vet in terms of skill or ability. We only did it as it was the cheapest place at the time.pippinpuss wrote: »As the chip is injected under the skin it is perfectly normal to feel it. It is the size of a piece of long grain rice. I'd be worried if I couldn't feel it.
Once inserted the vet should always scan to show it's worked so even if I couldn't feel it (as I can't in the others) I'd still know it was there.0
