New Bathroom for less than a grand.........

got a modern 3 bed semi that needs the family bathroom replacing (according to the wife). to be fair the baths been bodged and is leaking. and as we're planning on moving soon we dont want to apend a fortune

its a 2m sq box with just enough room for a 700mm bath, bog and sink. we're working class!

been looking in our local tile place on stoneferry in hull and they do a bathroom 'all in' for £399. bath, bog, sink, taps, 14 sq m tiles, grout and addesive.

i can take the exsisiting tiles off, get a plumber mate to switch the 3 peice suite in a day for a ton (£100). then get another mate to tile and grout the next day and half for £150. ive spoken to my mates and inbetween sucking air through their teeth said they would help me.

£25 worth of lino down and treat our selves to a towel radiator at £65.

looking at £750 with buying the lads a bacon sandwhich.

can anyone see problems in my grand design.............except maybe losing 2 friends!!

The 14m of tiles won't be brilliant for that cost. Maybe worth spending a bit more and get a better quality /design of tile as good tiling is what gives the bathroom the 'wow' factor. Or maybe buy a border.

Also don't forget the accessories such as towels, toothbrush holder etc as the details matter.

Take a look on 'Preloved' or 'Gumtree' or Ebay, you will no doubt pick up some sanitaryware bargains. And if there is only a few sqm of tiles, there are quite often people selling off their unwanted excess.
