So when im 60 and I want a loan? This will STILL be there?
This is what I told the bank when I described how this "chain around my neck" is adversly impacting my mental health condition. As far as I am concerned/worried I am weighted down by a bad decisions I made and I went through the procedures to make it right and now I still have worries regarding my entire life because if this.. I know its my fault for not repaying etc but they decided if I was allowed a loan or not.
Are there any circumstances what so ever where i can argue that having the account open and in arreara is causing me to become more ill?
As technically it is!

Such markers on your credit file are eventually removed, though.
Can I suggest that you take such queries to the relevant forum? You'll probably get more sympathetic and knowledgable responses on the IVA and DRO section of this forum. Go here;

So if I went to one of those ppi companys now saying I have this claim, and have no debts (which I dont as they are discharged). Would they take the case?
People with arrears, defaults or had amounts written off should under no circumstances use a claims company. The lender can set the redress off against the debt and the claims company will bill you against the whole amount even if you dont see a penny of it.Will my debt with them ever be "gone" then?
I don't understand the logic of having debt that I have no legal responsibility to repay?
Or is there a case where I would have to repay?
They cannot legally come after you for the debt. However, that does not mean you can expect them to refund money that you failed to pay in the first place. They are allowed to offset the redress only against that debt. Not any other.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). The comments I make are just my opinion and are for discussion purposes only.
