Where shall I get a dishwasher?

I have 2 kids and another on the way and am thinking a dishwasher will make my life slightly easier. So with a bit of shifting around I have worked out a place it can get plumbed in in the kitchen. Got the plumber coming round next week.

Now all I need to do is buy a dishwasher. But which one? Where shall I get it? I want a full size one that washes dishes well. It doesn't need millions of settings or any special features. Ideally an energy efficient one. I've not got loads of money to spend. Absolutly not more than £400, ideally much less.

Any ideas anyone? I would really appreciate a bit of advice.

Thanks in advance...

To be honest you could do worse than go to Currys.

Have a physical look in Currys, make a note of a model number and go home and look on the internet.

Contrary to some opinions, I have never had a problem with Currys.

A dishwasher will make your life a hundred times easier, not just a bit. Just think 10 minutes after Christmas dinner and everything is cleared away and you can relax away from a clean and tidy kitchen. Ie had one for over 25 years. Life is far too short for washing up.
make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.

I have had one for years, and when it died It was awful - would not be without one now . Just as well as already using a perching stool to prepare a meal.

I would say a huge yes! Now we turn our dishwasher on every other day instead of having to wash up after breakfast, dinner and tea. The only problem we found is that we had to buy more cutlery and crockery as we only had one set, otherwise we would have to turn it on several times a day.

Go to Currys, I always do ( apart from a few trips to John Lewis)

One tip , on Curry's website the advert says next day del £10
Go to the shop , they want £20

Make a fuss , if pushed to keep their paperwork correct the del fee will still be £20 BUT the cost of the appliance will be reduced by £10 ..........
    everyone happy

Our Bosch is coming up to 9 years old, not a problem with it. Check out John Lewis as they have a good selection of Bosch machines to suit your budget.
