Help, My Debit Cards Been Cloned

I had a nasty surprise when I check my bank balance yesterday. someones been on a spending spree with my card(cloned not stolen). At the moment to the tune of £500. but I expect more when I check my account tomorrow. I have reported it and stopped my card. The bank will refund money when I have filled out forms and are sending me a new card and pin. What I want to know is what do I do if I suspect where my card info has been stolen from.
I know of several people who this has happened to and we all use a certain petrol station in northwood hills with shop attached( am I aloud to put this without naming names?). Is it worth telling the police or will the bank be investigating? One of my friends has actually been into the petrol station and complained.
Also I use internet banking from home(lloyds tsb) how safe is this?
This has really inconvenianced me. I have no debit card and can't get cash out or spend till I get a knew card ( much to my husbands delight I have to ask him every time I need money.) It's annoying to think these people will probably get away with this and just move on to the next card and victim.

Lloyds TSB seem to have a lot of this going on at the moment. It happened to my mum a while ago and it turned out that it was our local petrol station who was involved. I have started using cash to buy petrol now.
I know other people who have had cloning problems with Lloyds TSB also.
