Car Insurance Renewal - Changed jobs (etc)

Hi
I'm named driver on a fully comp policy in my wifes name. A couple of questions have come up relating to car insurance renewal
Firstly - A few months ago a hire car was stolen whilst hired out to me (long story!) Do I need to declare that as an insurance claim? Car was arranged through work and I didn't have to make any insurance claim.
Secondly ... I have been temporarily promoted at work (Until Oct 2013) If I put in my 'new' temporary job title, the renewal is refused as the insurance company 'do not insure people in that job category'
Can I leave my employment details as they are ie the permanent job
that i will return to in October - or do we need to look for a new insurer?
thanks

You do need to disclose the stolen car, and your occupation is material, so you do need to find an insurer prepared to offer you cover in your present occupation.0

Thank you - just done a comparison and can get the same level of cover elsewhere with all details disclosed for about the same price as AXA were quoting without - so looks like it's not a disaster!0

Look up axa here and online and you might feel this enforced move is a blessing!0
