Is this an indication of review date for ESA?

Hi folks,

On the letter from the DWP telling me that I had been put on the wrag of esa it doesn't indicate a review date, the only thing is it states on second last page how my money is made up, and then goes on to say "this is the amount we will pay you between 8 july and 29 November 2013.

Just wondering is this an indication of when I might expect the next esa50 to fill in or is it because if a Christmas bonus of £10 is paid they felt that including this might confuse things?

Probably need to phone them up again when they have all the info on their system.

Many thanks
John

No it is just done this way when someone gets their award letter as Xmas bonus is paid 1st week in December each year for those on a qualifying benefit.
Your review will be one year after the decision date as you will be on contributions based ESA to begin with, then approx. 6-8 weeks prior to this they should initiate an income review to see if you qualify for income related ESA instead. This will depend on savings if any and a partner income if any. If you are on your own then it will convert to IR ESA.

If you are in the WRAG your income will be reviewed just short of one year to see if you are entitled to income-related ESA. Your medical entitlement to ESA can be reassessed at any time between 3 months and 2 years (in WRAG) or 3 years if in Support Group.
