Selling/Buying CDs

Hi, I'm getting ready to sell bunch of cds on ebay (500+). I have tried various selling plans and recently offerred free P&P but did not send the jewel case only the cds and inserts (the buyers were informed before they bought the cd) - It costs more to post a jewel case than it does to replace it.

I'd like to know what you guys think of this and if you would be prepared to buy the cd with free P&P but no jewel case.

Thanks

G

Personally i think you should buy some of the cd sized jiffy bags from ebay. Using these you can fit a jewel case inside and post it 1st class for 30p. Or even second class for 21p or whatever it is.

Personally I'd rather pay reasonable postage (£1) and get the jewel case. Otherwise I'd have to go out and buy a whole pack of cases for a few quid.... which would p!ss me off.

How much more does it cost to send the case?

A cd in a jewel case and in a padded envelope weighs 100-150g which means 64p 1st and 47p second. Without the case all you would need is a normal 1st or second class stamp.

Why offer free P+P do you like paying more in fees. Its the all in price that important so no reason to give extra to EBay. So charge 75p - 100p for P+P.

I agree with the rest lack of case would annoy me.

According to my Ohaus LS-5000 Scales.... A jewelled case weighs 66g :)

A CD c/w jewelled case and inserts is approx 90g

Now...... wrap the CD in a strip of bubblewrap taken from the sheets Asdas / Tescos / Sainsburys etc give away free to collector, and a neat strip of end of range wallpaper (50p to £1-00 a roll)

    With the case it's 52p (150g = 47p second class 5p materials)

    Without the Case it's 40p (100g = 35p second class 5p materials)

    Bored? .......... Yes I was :p
