Is anyone else having issues with their Natwest apps on an iphone or similar?

Me and my OH both cannot get into our accounts, and have not been able to for 4 days now. Every time it loads it says "unable to connect".
Any views are my own and may not always be correct - though i do try :o

I usually use the Natwest Business app to log in and see all of my accounts, and that's been working fine.

I just tried the standard app and got 'You are unable to log in, please call...'

So yes, same problem it seems. The business app seems to do exactly the same and is much more reliable, so might be worth downloading?

Yes, Natwest app working okay on Android.

    Presumably it's an iThing issue.

Do you have the new iOS 7 beta installed on your phone?

If so, the NatWest app is not compatible (nor is HSBC's and First Direct). If it's iOS 6.X, then delete the app and reinstall it. :)

Funny thing is, I do!! My OH does too! We thought it could be that but weren't sure! Oops!! Thanks for clarifying!

  • A bit late to the party, but no issues with my app on Android. Not a massive user, but all seems to be working as usual. There was an update last week (at least on my phone), so may be something to do with that?

    It's to do with iOS.

Same as a PC with Windows, Apple releases a new version of iOS and various applications stop working.

First Direct app is working fine for me on iOS 7.

Yup, iOS 7 is only meant to be available for developers at the moment, for the exact reason of getting their apps working for the upcoming public release.

It works, however it has problems, for example, if you have many payees when sending a payment, scroll to the bottom and select the last one, it often selects a different payee other than the one selected. It's usable at least, unlike HSBC's and NatWest's, which will not work at all.
