Hi everyone, am hoping there is someone who can give me a bit of advice - I am due to fly to Greece on Thursday morning with my 3 yr old daughter - this trip was booked months ago, and travel insurance taken out about a month ago with debenhams travel insurance.
On Wednesday morning my daughter woke up with chicken pox I took her to the dr on Thursday morning who said that by the NHS guidelines she would be fine as they say 5 days after first spots appear they are safe to travel however the airlines policy is that you have to have a fit to fly cert but also all spots have to be completely scabbed over.

My question is - if the doctor says it is safe to travel (I wouldn't put anyone else at risk if the doc didn't say its safe ) but the airline refuse to allow her on, where do I stand with insurance? I did phone the insurance company yesterday who said I wouldn't be covered as they go by what the doctor says - is this true? So I would therefore not receive anything from insurance?
Sorry for the long winded post - 2 nights of no sleep with a screaming baby my brain is a little foggy!!!
Many thanks
