ive got a yorkshire bank credit card, ive had it for years. ive never deliberately missed a payment, however i may have continued to pay the same monthly payment without realising they had put it up. therefore allowing them to charge me ridiculous amounts for being a small amount under the repayment needed.
I cantg beleive that they can charge me £30 for a letter? never received. £10 for a phone call that is a recorded message asking me to phone a number and ask for (a name) so they think they can con you into calling them? What happened to an account manager calling and resolving the situation without all this. Im at my whits end with these. please has anyone got any suggestions

If you don't even check what the minimum payment is, how on earth are you going to spot fraudulent activity on the account?
Oh, and apparently you can reclaim the charges going back 6 years.0 -
Yes definately read your statements.
You have no defence really. the statements are sent to you to advise you of your monthly payment.Baby Ice arrived 17th April 2011. Tired.com! :j0 -
As answers above plus balance transfer to another credit card then close the yorkshire bank one. That stops them making any more money from you.I have a deep burning indifference0

Remember they prey on people not being on the ball and alert.
Bit like pick pockets in a crowd. Its your fault for not being focused on your statements. Consider yourself mugged. Welcome to the club.0 -
How about having a look at the reclaim your Bank Charges forum also?
Haven't had personal experience of reclaiming CC fees, but I understand it's possible.
Good LuckThanks to all who post comps :A :T0
