Timber Windows Stockists/Recommended?

Hi there, am wanting to replace 4 windows in my house, preferably with a Georgian style casement windows (with the bars) or sliding sash, both of which I want in timber. The quotes received thus far are higher than I can afford, so am wanting to try and cost up getting made to measure timber windows delivered and instruct a local builder/carpenter to fit them to see if it comes out any cheaper.
I am Kent based, and want to be able to see examples of the windows before buying any. Obviously Jeld Wen appear to have a veritable monopoly on this sort of thing, and am not hugely interested in those that I've seen in the likes of B&Q, Homebase, Wickes, Jewsons. Have also already looked into XL Joinery. Is there anywhere I'm not thinking of that you could recommend I look into? Seeing them before buying them is of great importance to me.
Thank you in advance.

I would suggest you speak with a local builders merchant, or may be a couple of them.
Where I live the local Travis Perkins has experienced, mature staff with a wealth of building knowledge. This extends from manufacturers to suppliers to advice on sub contractors and builders. Obviously this is verbal - they do not want conflict!
Equally I have a local independent builders merchant that is excellent. Their knowledge runs circles around mine.
I wanted bespoke doors made. One of the good merchants said to me: "there is a retired man working in a garden shed in ----. He is brilliant. Give him a call, mention our name, deal direct with him to keep your costs low and you will receive excellent quality." Whilst I have lost his contact details, this is the type of knowledge that is available, when one asks.0
