Funny Retirement Gifts

A friend and work colleague is retiring next week and I want to get her some funny retirement gifts but I am really not sure what I can get. I was thinking of things that really "point out her age", like maybe an inflatable Zimmer frame I saw on Amazon!!
Anyone got any ideas (obviously she will also get a nice present too!)

Are you absolutely sure she would appreciate gifts that 'point out her age'? I'd avoid anything like that just in case, she might be more sensitive about it than you think.0

Unless you're absolutely sure that she'll find it hilarious, I'd be inclined to put the money you were thinking of paying for a 'funny' gift to the 'nice present' money.0

A lot of people find the thought of retirement secretly quite scary no matter how much they claim to be looking forward to it . A Ha Ha you're so old and on the scrapheap type gift no matter how good your intentsions could really upset her.
Unless you are incredibly close...as in like family close - rather than just workmates-Don't risk it !!I Would Rather Climb A Mountain Than Crawl Into A Hole
MSE Florida wedding .....no problem0 -
Agreed - not a time to try to be funny....much enquiry having been made concerning a gentleman, who had quitted a company where Johnson was, and no information being obtained; at last Johnson observed, that 'he did not care to speak ill of any man behind his back, but he believed the gentleman was an attorney'.0

I'm afraid if you tried to do this to me all the crap would be dropped into the bin on the way out.
I would not find that remotely funny.
I would rather you sent the money wasted to a local charity0 -
I was going to say, if you're sure she'd have a sense of humour about it, then go for it, it'll be funny! But the more I think about it, while I might find it amusing to buy someone those kind of gifts, I'm not sure that I actually would appreciate them myself tbh! They would probably end up in the bin.0

OP, absolutely not to a Zimmerman frame in any shape or form!
Get her loads of smellies so that she can indulge herself!Member #14 of SKI-ers club

Id also say no to that. Some people dont like a fuss making on retirement never mind getting blow up zimmer frames.0 -
I'd be as angry as hell if I got a blowup zimmerframe or any other thoughtless retirement gift. In fact, I'd rather have nothing at all! I've always found it a bit strange when retirement gifts usually mean a nice clock so you can watch the time tick away till you die!
If I am ever lucky enough to get any sort of retirement gift, I think I would like air miles or travel vouchers, then I can spend my spare time travelling rather than being at home with my clock and blow up zimmerframe.0 -
I think people are getting a bit over excited about this. OP said colleague will be getting a "nice present" and is just looking for some ideas for cheap funnies. I am retiring in September and will treat any such funnies as just that.
I'm sure the OP knows the person a lot better than us and is best positioned to know how well the person will deal with joke presents. Of course they will be binned shortly after (as I'm sure OP expects) and is just looking for inexpensive suggestions.
Sorry for not having any ideas, but I'm looking forward to reading what I might receive!0
