Honeymoon spending money

Hello,
I am going on my honeymoon to America (new York, Las Vegas, Yosemite, napa and San Francisco) and was looking at spending money. I know this question is like how long is a piece of string so will try to give you information
I'm think $100 a day each so $200 total
All trips (grand canyon) events (statue of liberty) shows (Vegas) will already be paid for. As is travel apart from a few days of petrol money that will probably be extra too.
All things such as a visit to Tiffanys will also be extra.
We will eat out but no real huge fancy restaurants although I do have extra for a few nice meals. And most lunches will prob be a cafe meal. Alcohol wise there will be the odd night splash.
So we are just talking about day to day funds eg eating tips and the odd extra.
I am aware that Vegas and New York may need a little more but I think Yosemite and napa will probably need a little less.
What do you guys think?

Is accomodation, car hire etc paid for? If so not sure what you think you'll spend $200 a day on?0
-
Yes all rooms flights and car hire are paid. I really just interested in peoples opinion on food and day to day costs. I guess by your reaction that it will be more than enough0

Easily - you'll have a ball! And tell everyone it's your honeymoon - you'll get loads of freebies
Hotel upgrades, free champagne, if you're really lucky (and dress smart) maybe a flight upgrade! 0 -
You are on Honeymoon so save money by spending all day in bed.
Just be prepared to spend a lot of money in 9 months time.0 -
Thank you very much Im such a planner (and worrier) I now feel abit more confident. Looking around at costs food does seemed quite well priced and most places will be cheaper than going out in England anyway.
And thanks zagfles I will try with the smart dress at the airport and try and get as many upgrades as possible by making sure that everyone in a 20 miles radiu knows its my honeymoon!!!!0 -
Honestly - nowdays upgrades if you don't hold status with the airline are rare -I won't say never (I had new hubby rumaging through the case at check in to try and find a pair of trousers as the airline offered to upgrade us but needed him out of jeans on my honeymoon lol) but these days it is much less common ....but never say never -and be prepared for it. They may be overbooked on your flight and looking for upgrades (more common on US carriers than UK ones).
Vegas as a wedding/honeymoon destination gets a lot of "mentions" when people check in -but again always worth a try . Don't have any great expectations and any little gestures will make you happy-rather than expect to get anything
I Would Rather Climb A Mountain Than Crawl Into A Hole
MSE Florida wedding .....no problem0 -
As a solo traveller, I usually get by on less than $50/day when in America but I don't drink. I use my CC for just about everything as the exchange rate is better and cash is really just for little extras and tipping.0

Yes, we didn't get a flight upgrade, but we were looked after really well, given a free bottle of champagne, and invited to the cockpit. So it's worth mentioning anyway. We had a few hotel upgrades in the US, plus various freebies such as chanpagne, free drinks etc.Honestly - nowdays upgrades if you don't hold status with the airline are rare -I won't say never (I had new hubby rumaging through the case at check in to try and find a pair of trousers as the airline offered to upgrade us but needed him out of jeans on my honeymoon lol) but these days it is much less common ....but never say never -and be prepared for it. Remember to add tax + tip on top of the menu prices. At first glance I thought USA was much cheaper, but then realised it was about the same with those added!

(Talking eating out here).:T0 -
Just wanted to say hope you have an amazing time - this sounds like literally my dream trip! I think the spending money sounds good. On some days you will spend a lot less than that but on others maybe a lot more (if you like good restaurants like we do) so it will even out.
Have a fantastic trip - I am SO JEALOUS!
As for honeymoon upgrades - I have a funny story about this. A few years ago, before we were even engaged let alone married, we did a West Coast trip. We were booking hotels etc while on Skype with my cousin who lives out there, and possibly slightly tipsy (!) and on one of the hotel booking pages there was something you could tick to say of you were celebrating a special occasion, on honeymoon etc. My cousin urged us to tick 'on honeymoon', saying 'oh we do it all the time to get upgrades!' We did, and then completely forgot about having ticked that little box.
When we arrived at the hotel, jet lagged after our 11 hour flight, we were flabbergasted to be greeted with effusive congratulations, a room upgrade to a very fancy suite, and champagne, chocolates, cake, a cheese and fruit platter, a hand written card and rose petals on the bed in our room. We were mortified (we would never normally lie about this sort of thing and had completely forgotten about ticking that box as a joke!) and spent our whole stay at the hotel trying to hide our ring-less left hands! So.....yes, some places do give you free stuff for being on your honeymoon - and even better if you actually are on your honeymoon!
We are off to California and Vegas this summer and as it will be less than 6 months since our wedding we are counting it as another honeymoon (we had a week in Cancun straight after the wedding) and we plan to take our marriage certificate with us to see if we can get any nice treatment. You can only hope!0
