60 Minute Money Is this a scam?

The question is not whether this is a legitimate Company or not, the question is; should it be? To answer this you have to make sure you understand what legitimate actually means, does it mean legally ethical or does it mean actually ethical? The truth is that this Company is not truly ethical. I was unfortunate enough to have been taken in by this nonsense about 4 years ago as a naive 17-year-old. As a jobless student I wanted to make some extra money and like many others I went searching online for a job. I can’t remember the job site on which an advert for ‘60-minute-money’ appeared but I do remember being forwarded to a website which implied that money could be easily made via this system. After filling out a quick form I was telephoned about 10 minutes later by a gentleman who outlined the basics of the ‘business’ and then invited me to a ‘success training seminar’. Upon arrival I met many others who had been unfortunate enough to come across this ‘business idea’ and we were all subjected to quite a few hours of what can only be described as propaganda. I then purchased a ‘business box’ which contained some of the products that they intended for everyone to sell, which were Herbalife products.
The truth is that the products were actually quite good, I bought more of them and sold them to some family members and probably made about a couple of hundred pounds of profit. The members of my family who took the products did see weight loss as predicted. This all said; the products were overpriced and family soon stopped buying them when they realised how quickly their wallets were going to disappear. This left me trying to sell this ‘stuff’ to strangers who were sceptical at best. It’s hard enough to sell something to people but when they are very expensive and you are a 17-year-old boy it becomes somewhat suspect.
‘60-minute-money’ is a system set up by Russell Gain which is basically a business model/plan that people are to follow in order to generate the wealth that is claimed to be possible. Russell claims to be very successful with Herbalife and apparently making many thousands per day. This lead me to ponder as to why he was actually trying to make more money by this ’60-minute-money’ nonsense, logically if you already made loads of money from such a simple method of sales you wouldn’t want to waste your time complicating the issue with software and a new business to sell your ideas, wouldn’t you just want to enjoy your success?
I persevered with the ‘business’ and tried to keep selling and even went to another ‘success training seminar’ just to make sure that I wasn’t actually missing something as many proclaimed to be making a lot of money. That weekend was the last time I was remotely interested in it. Irrespective of what people might claim there is no real money to be made from this business anymore. There are already too many people involved and the ‘residual income’ aspect of it is a pyramid scheme which you would need the entire population of China under you before you would make the figures ’60-minute-money’ claims to be possible.
I ended up finding the remaining products recently when moving house, tucked in a box at the back of my wardrobe. They were out-of-date. In total I made a fairly substantial loss but I am so glad that I actually didn’t have a lot to spend otherwise I fear I would have made an even bigger loss. To conclude; ’60-minute-money’ is frankly a scam. The name itself implies that the methods of making money are easy and if you are now foolish enough to entertain the idea of spending any money or time on it then you are soon to realise that you have wasted both.
