Hi i have finished reading this in 1 day and i cannot believe how sad moving it is! I was in tears for most of the book.

I do want to read part 2 and 3 and was wondering what people thought of them and also where i can buy them cheaply?

I cannot believe that any human being can think of and torture a defenseless child? I am just sat here in complete shock really.

I am soooooo glad he is ok now but i wonder what happened to his family?

Anyway sorry if its on the wrong board i just wanted to hear others opinions.

    Thanks

I'll move this thread to the I wanna buy-it or do-it board as you are asking where can you buy this series of books at the best price :)

    I read the 3 books
the first i couldnt put down the rest i thought was milking it .
I also have spoken to numerous survivors of abuse in a profesional capacity and as friends .the majority but not all felt that his emphasis on forgivness was written in such a way as if FORGIVING was the only good conclusion in life after such an event that could make you whole.
some forgave others didnt but what most disliked was that they had felt as though they were less of a person or had not moved on enough if they hadnt as he had forgiven his parent .that i found sad and unhelpfull . even pressurising to some .once my kids were late teens they read books such as these it imroved their empathy
and helped them realise that they may have some traumas that seem unsuppasable as teens but that there is a grand scale out there they can measure against on a poor day.
ps has anyone read lucky bones now there i feel is an ingenious form of writing ........highly recomend
