Argh!
This has been an ongoing prob. for a year now - tried to go wireless a year ago with this router thingy and ended up my housemate linking up to the router with a cable and therefore the two of us being online at the same time, but NOT wireless!!!!
Now a new housemate wants us to be totally wireless, and so do I, now that I have a swanky new laptop. So... please, can anyone help?! Why doesnt my linksys wireless ADSL Gateway (whatever that is) work?!!!
What should I do? Get a new one? Which one?
Allhelp would be appreciated.
Thanks alot

I dont think you need a new one there must be something you have not done but im no good a tech stuff.
I also have this router and have had no probs with wireless.
Just wait someone will be along soon and tell you what to do.0 -
wire it up with ethernet.
goto http://192.168.1.1
go to the wireless screen
select wpa-psk/tkip encryption enter a 8 to 63 character password.
then get your laptop to scan for network, attach to linksys, enter the password.
or run the installation CD that came with it.Ever get the feeling you are wasting your time? :rolleyes:0
