Just cos the file is locked does not mean that it is caused by a virus. There are hundreds of things that I could suggest but they're all pretty techy - and don't wanna get too techy unless you want to? Basically, the file is probably locked due to some sort of system process taking it up and using it so the virus scanner can't access it to scan it. There's probably not a problem but you can delve if you're experiencing problems with your system. Hopefully you have a firewall running and haven't let anything you shouldn't have through? If so, your system seems ok and you do have a firewall running then I personally would not worry if it were me.
Oh, if you're really worried (which you don't really need to be) then search for a bootable virus scanner, usually a CD that you can insert into your computer when it boots so that it bypasses Windows and any locking of files. There are some free ones about, possibly Avast and F-Prot.0 -
